Vancouver Canucks: Logo Development

A women’s touch. We’re not talking outdated clichés like frilly cushions or fresh flowers. We’re talking tenacity, determination, creativity, and obsession with detail. Approximately 50% of the people who power Canucks Sports and Entertainment are women, which means their invisible fingerprints are all over the Canucks brand and experience. From lighting the stadium to putting players on the ice, women lift, strengthen, and uphold the Vancouver Canucks.

This logo and design system was presented for the fourth annual Women's Empowerment Night for the Vancouver Canucks. Working closely with the other two female designers on the team, our fingerprints are intertwined within the Canucks logo to symbolize the unseen contributions of women within the organization. We each have a part of the orca but woven together through the intricate lines of our unique fingerprint lines as well as the merging of colours throughout. This system would be used for social content, website platforms, print signage, and retail collections.
